Thredbo Ski patrollers were present at a stall at the annual Larry Adler Ski Expo at the Collaroy Store on Saturday 22nd May.

The dates for this season's ski intake test have been set for Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of August, 2010.

Guests at the Thredbo Ski Patrol 50th Anniversary Ball had a most enjoyable evening on Saturday 3rd May, 2008. The Gala function was held at the National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour.

It is with enormous sadness that we advise that our great friend, admired colleague and Patrol Captain for the last few years, Dr Peter Duval passed away in St Vincent's Private Hospital on 30 November, 2007.

The 2007 season closed on October 1st, the Monday of the October Long Weekend. There was still plenty of snow up high, and top-to-bottom (just barely) skiing on the supertrail. A surprise blizzard over the closing weekend saw very cold conditions.

Monday 30th July 2007 marked the 10th anniversary of the Thredbo landslide disaster in 1997, which claimed the lives of 18 people, including the then Thredbo Ski Patrol Director, Tony Weaver.

Saturday 9th June 2007 marked the opening of the Thredbo 2007 season. Thredbo Ski Patrollers were active in preparing the mountain for the skiing and boarding public.

Larry Adler is a long standing supporter of the Thredbo Ski Patrol. At the Larry Adler Ski EXPO held over the 12 & 13 May weekend the Patrol had a stand set up by Mick Harries. Mick took the opportunity to present Larry Alder with a 2007 trophy in recognition of their support of the TSPA.

On 9 May 2007 the NSW Leader of Opposition recounted the avalanche rescue in Japan (see news entry for 14 Feb 2007) and named the five Thredbo patrollers and their two companions, and recognised their "courageous and heroic efforts".

On 26 March 2007 the five patrollers involved in the Japan avalanche rescue (see news item for 14 Feb 2007) were invited with their partners to a presentation dinner at the Sydney Japanese Consulate.

On 14th Feb 2007 five volunteer Thredbo Ski Patrollers skiing on vacation at Hakkoda were first on scene after an avalanche hit a group of 22 Japanese skiers.
